For example I could connect a radar detector to this which has nothing to do with a dash cam and it will power that radar detector until the power it holds is drained. Having said the aforementioned; you may not benefit from all of the ‘smart’ bluetooth functions with integration to the Blackvue products that you might get if this was connected to a blackvue camera. But if you are simply looking to extend the run time of your thinkware camera and not drain your car battery this will work just fine. **Q: What if i hard wired this to the battery of the car of course useing a fuse and set up a switch to turn it on and off for charging it.** A: If you hardwire this to your battery or even via the fuse box the way I did, I have found that if you swap the connection to the B-124X from the DC in port to the expansion port it might just give you the boost you need should your battery die. Providing it's fully charged. When I'm parked at home, I turn the Blackvue battery off, so in theory yes. **Q: Will this work for my non Blackvue camera? Also, can I hardwire it to constant power with a voltage regulator?** A: It will work with non BlackVue cameras. With regards to hardwiring to constant power, we would not recommend as the purpose of the battery pack is also to prevent wear and tear on your vehicle battery. wiring to the constant fuse would defeat that purpose. **Q: Does this drain car battery when off? Using cigarette port lighter** A: If installed properly it will not drain your battery when car is off. It charges while car is running and when you switch car off the circuit that feeds the battery pack is shut off. The battery pack will provide power to your dashcam till it is depleted (which might be a day) and then your dashcam will power down until you restart your car and it then recharges the battery pack and the cycle just repeats. ## Frequently Bought Together - Blackvue B-130X Power Magic Ultra Battery Pack, Vehicle Dash Cam Battery, Discharge Prevention, Circuit Tester Included - BlackVue DR970X-2CH Plus 64GB | 2-Channel Dash Cam (4K-Full HD), STARVIS 2 Sensor, Parking Mode, Up to 512GB, Easy Setup via App, Wi-Fi, GPS, Cloud Auto Backup, Optional LTE Module - SanDisk 256GB High Endurance Video microSDXC Card with Adapter for Dash Cam and Home Monitoring systems - C10, U3, V30, 4K UHD, Micro SD Card - SDSQQNR-256G-GN6IA --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/124651490-blackvue-b-130x-power-magic-ultra-battery-pack-vehicle-dash](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/124651490-blackvue-b-130x-power-magic-ultra-battery-pack-vehicle-dash) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
