Tested them right out of the box last week and they all lit. We ran them along a fence and when we tested them two strings had big gaps where the lights weren't lit. We jiggled them, unplugged and re-plugged them but nothing. We ended up having to run other lights where the gaps are. You would think 20 years into the 21st century somebody would figure out how to keep a simple string of lights lit. They are small but LED so bright enough. I used them to decorate the interior roof of a 12 x 14 gazebo and had more than enough and doubled up in some areas.We covered the rafters and draped some to the outside perimeter and covered the entire perimeter.I actually bought extras thinking there wouldn't be enough coverage with one set. I was wrong. I have them on the inside of my patio umbrella and they fit perfectly. They give a soft light but still illuminate the table enough so you can see what's there. The umbrella is about 8 ft and 1 string was able to cover underneath with no issues. Even with all the rain we've been getting, they still work with no issues.
