I have ordered and installed barn style mounting kits from various manufacturers in a variety of price levels. I was very pleasantly surprised when this kit arrived.The YIGOLD 6.6ft Sliding Barn Door Hardware Kit is comparable in quality to those I've purchased for $100 - $120 MORE at local big box stores. The hardware is well made, well finished, and heavy duty. I installed this kit on a small shed I built to house my sailing and paddling gear as it allowed me easier access by maintaining a full size opening (hinges and for swing removed). I used the same brand kit to install a barn door into my mother's bathroom to allow her easier access with her walker than she had with a hinged door.As with any barn style door, a guide that fits into a kerf in the bottom of the door or a roller guide is needed to have the door track plumb and not swing in and out. Lotta weight. saved over $2500 by building my own stair lift with that barn door rail, the bolts plenty strong.
