Emily Henson explores the elements that come together to create this eclectic, colorful, and contemporary look and draws inspiration from an array of real-life Bohemian Modern homes. The Bohemian Modern home is a place where creativity, individuality, and a wild mix of color and pattern meet in a modern environment. Whitewashed walls and polished concrete floors are brought to life by vibrant Moroccan rugs and wall hangings, wicker chairs draped with tactile throws, and a veritable jungle of house plants—clustered in pots, hanging from the ceiling, and even growing on the walls. The style certainly gives a nod to ’70s chic, with its use of shagpile rugs, Swiss cheese plants, and macramé, but it stands firmly in the present day by boldly contrasting those elements with sleek modern art on the walls and bold pops of color. Emily Henson starts by taking a look at the different facets of the look: pattern and color, textiles, handmade pieces, living with houseplants, and collections and display. She also offers up styling tricks to use at home and ideas for recycling and reuse. Next, a series of case studies take a closer look at Bohemian Modern homes and the people who live in them. From a restored barn on the breezy Moroccan coast to a former parking garage in the Netherlands that's been converted into a flexible family live/work space, Emily shows that any home can have Bohemian Modern style. Review: Beautiful corners - As with anything in design, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I was previously attracted to this look, so a whole book of eye candy is wonderful. Page layouts are great for poring over. I like the format - discrete elements of the style first, more examples in the second section. Finally, I respectfully disagree with one of the other reviewers that this book can be passed up for modern bohemians. While Justina blakeney's book is absolutely beautiful ( I bought it, loved it and gifted it) the two books are different. If you are into vignettes and beautiful corners, you will really enjoy this book. Blakeney's book includes more wholistic shots: each photo is zoomed out to include the whole room and the photos tell the story of the whole house. Some people may prefer that style. For me, zooming in on the little things offers a different kind of inspiration, with its own merit. Henson's book includes a lot of little corners to be recreated in your own home. I highly recommend this book. Review: Great book for reading and inspiration - I equally enjoyed reading and watching photos. Author beautifully tells about herself, her home, and other homes and owners she picked for this book. She also has a great sence of humor, I couldn't stop smiling while was reading this book. The book consists of several chapters, each is dedicated to one feature of bohemian style: textile, patterns, home plants, etc. Still it is a book about bohemian living style- being creative, think out of the box, rather than just about how to decorate the space in a certain style. I appreciate a big portion of text across photos explaining why certain combinations works so well. The homes shown in this book are all beautiful and with character. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #799,779 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) #48 in Interior Floor Design #143 in Interior Painting & Wallpapering #265 in Furniture Design (Books) | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 116 Reviews | ## Images ![Bohemian Modern: Imaginative and Affordable Ideas for a Creative and Beautiful Home - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/A1ndcESxf1L.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful corners *by E***I on August 19, 2015* As with anything in design, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don't really buy these types of books with the idea of following the ideas contained within them, but more for the mere enjoyment of the various styles that I love and or delight me. I love the Bohemian look, and it is peppered throughout my home, but seeing the creativity of others is simply inspirational, and fun. Thank you, Emily Henson, for a peek into some very creative homes. I love how people layer their environment with imagination and make them so inviting. ## Frequently Bought Together - Bohemian Modern: Imaginative and Affordable Ideas for a Creative and Beautiful Home - The New Bohemians: Cool and Collected Homes - Create: Inspiring homes that value creativity before consumption --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/12397022-bohemian-modern-imaginative-and-affordable-ideas-for-a-creative-beautiful](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/12397022-bohemian-modern-imaginative-and-affordable-ideas-for-a-creative-beautiful) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
