I used this for gaming to connect an Xbox One controller to headphone amp, and for music connecting an iPhone to headphone amp.Note that this TRS cable is wired tip=red (red), ring=white (left), sleeve=ground. Normal convention is tip=white (left), ring=red (right), sleeve=ground. This can cause some applications (like the two I mentioned above) to have channels backwards. I challenged the manufacturer (thinking it was wired backwards due to poor quality control) and they sent another cable which was wired the same way.I then tested cables from several other vendors and found that many were also wired the same way. There doesn't appear to be a single standard that everyone strictly follows, so it's best to check right/left when wiring for your application.The vendor was very responsive and interested in making things right by backing up the quality of their work.
