Review: Sturdy, Stylish, and Practical - Sturdy, Stylish, and Practical I picked up the Liberty 18-inch Coat and Hat Hook Rail years ago, and it’s still doing its job beautifully. The flat white wood base with satin nickel hooks blends well with modern or traditional décor, so it doesn’t scream “utility piece” even though it works hard. Each hook is solid and has handled everything from heavy winter coats to damp bath towels without bending or loosening. Installation was straightforward—the included hardware is fine for studs, though I swapped to longer screws for extra peace of mind. If you’re mounting to drywall, you’ll want anchors or molly bolts to make use of the 35 lb capacity. Once it’s up, it feels secure and doesn’t wobble. The finish holds up well, even in a bathroom with moisture, and the hooks haven’t chipped or rusted. It’s also a good value compared to buying individual decorative hooks, since you get four double hooks on a solid backer rail. Bottom line: A reliable and attractive hook rail that brings order to entryways, bathrooms, or closets. Easy to install, strong enough for daily use, and polished enough to complement the room. Review: Sturdy coat/hat rack to keep things organized. - Nice study hook rack to organize our mess of hats. I bought one just like it a few years ago for coats and realized it'd be great for either summer caps or winter hats too. Easy for husband to install and it blends in perfectly in the laudry room decor. ## Features - CLEAR CLUTTER: Access everything you need, smartly organized with this attractive wall coat rack - DIMENSIONS: Coat hook rack measures 4.17"H x 18"W x 3.19"D - STYLISH FINISH: White rack with elegant satin nickel hooks adds style to your storage needs - BUILT TO LAST: Strong fiberboard coat rack with durable metal hooks - COORDINATE: This casual design creates a laid-back charm to your room ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0033AHK34 | | Additional Features | Heavy Duty | | Best Sellers Rank | #340,170 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) #700 in Coat Hooks | | Brand Name | Liberty | | Color | Flat White & Satin Nickel | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 828 Reviews | | Finish Types | Nickel Finish | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00885785298497 | | Included Components | Hardware | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 2.8"D x 18"W x 3.9"H | | Item Weight | 1.9 pounds | | Manufacturer | Drake Off Road Tools | | Manufacturer Part Number | Drake Off Road Tools | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | Limited Lifetime Warranty | | Material | Engineered Wood, Zinc | | Material Type | Engineered Wood, Zinc | | Model Number | 129849 | | Mounting Type | Wall Mount | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Shelves | 4 | | Product Dimensions | 2.8"D x 18"W x 3.9"H | | Recommended Uses For Product | Bathroom, Foyer, Laundry Room, Robe, Towels | | Shelf Type | Hanging Shelf | | Special Feature | Heavy Duty | | Style Name | Classic | | UPC | 885785298497 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Color:** Flat White & Satin Nickel - **Material:** Engineered Wood, Zinc - **Number of Shelves:** 4 - **Shelf Type:** Hanging Shelf - **Special Feature:** Heavy Duty ## Images ![Liberty 129849 18-Inch Coat and Hat Hook Rail/Rack with 4 Heavy Duty Hooks, White and Satin Nickel - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51OYlLsVYuL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: how far apart are the mounting holes? Can both catch a stud?** A: The pre-drilled holes are 16 inches on center, standard stud spacing. You can also drill an extra hole on your own as necessary. Keep in mind that the studs may not be where you want them for ideal placement of the rack. I drilled and countersunk an additional hole in the middle of the rack, and anchored the rack into a stud. For the end pre-drilled holes, I drilled into wall anchors, to keep the rack from rotating. Mounted two of these (adult rack on top, kids rack below) a year ago and they have been rock solid. **Q: How much space is between hooks?** A: Hooks are 3.75 inches on center, 3.25 inches between the inner edge of one hook and the inner edge of the adjacent hook. **Q: Are the screw holes at 16" to attach to studs?** A: Yes they are. Just measured it. **Q: What is the depth of this piece (how far do the hooks stick out of the wall)?** A: the hooks stick out 3 1/4 inches from the wall. That includes the depth of the wood ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy, Stylish, and Practical *by E***S on September 28, 2025* Sturdy, Stylish, and Practical I picked up the Liberty 18-inch Coat and Hat Hook Rail years ago, and it’s still doing its job beautifully.
