Of course along with reading ect. However, since the writing and going back to read the characters I wrote on a regular basis is part of my learning path, I wanted to enjoy it as much as I could, therefore the aesthetics and quality of the writing grid was important to me. The notebook has 123 pages, each with a grid of seven box's horizontal and nine box's vertical each one inch square, also there is a 1/8 inch gap between each of the box's both vertically and horizontally. Each grid box has nine tiny box;s in them that are slightly lighter in color, this is a nice feature. The cover has a nice picture on the front and back, and the notebook as a slight bit of "heft" to it so it does NOT feel flimsy.
