I’m excited to have these for the next storm. The pour spouts have two screws that need to be installed to attach them to the tanks and they are good to go. Very compact and appear to be durable. Filled them up and transported them on their sides with no spillage. To start out, they do not fit in the Smittybilt Atlas XRC rear bumper driver-side jerry can holder. It will fit in the passenger side. Probably not so much the fault of Wavian than it is of Smittybilt. That is not the reason for the poor rating though. First, the "spill-proof" spout that comes with these cans leaves a lot to be desired. You have to push the spout deep into neck of your gas tank in order to force open the spout. The fuel then takes way too long to exit the can leaving you standing there holding the 5 gallon can way too long. The spout itself is made from cheap plastic. I had to tilt the can to try and get the remaining gallon or so of fuel to exit the can which then promptly broke the stopper off of the tip of the spout. The pieces fell into the neck of fuel tank. Luckily they were too large to drop into the tank but it was a pain getting them out. I then sent an email to Wavian asking if I could get the broken spout replaced as it was literally the first time I used the can when the spout broke. I got a response within a day or two and was asked if I had purchased directly from Wavian or if I had purchased through a reseller. I responded within a day that I had purchased through Quadratec. Wavian never responded to me after that. I then decided to see if I could talk to Quadratec about the issue hoping they may be able to get Wavian to respond to me. After some back and forth and noticing that Quadratec no longer even carries this product, I finally got an email from quadratec stating that "due to contractual obligations that could not be met we are no longer able to offer the Wavian Gerry cans. Unfortunately, I would not be able to get you a replacement due to this issue. I have tried myself to get ahold of the manufacturer to see if I could at least get them to respond to assist you with this issue, but unfortunately I have not received a response from them either. I apologize for the inconvenience." Bottom line, the poorest of poor customer service. Regardless of the quality of product, which at this point is also suspect, the customer service alone warrants you run from this product and don't consider it.
