This polish has done a great job on the un-scuffed leather, significantly improving appearance but it can't repair scuffed leather and doesn't absorb very well into the damaged areas. I don't think any polish is capable or repairing damage. I also bought 2 other colours for other shoes. The black polish has done a fantastic job on some shoes that were looking very sorry for themselves, highly recommended. The other thing that needs clarification is that Saphir makes two different products ranges; this one, which is called "Creme Surfine", and a second more premium (and costly) product called "Medaille d'Or". For the shoe cream (this product), I honestly don't see any significant difference between the two products, maybe that the premium product feels a bit richer in colour pigment but I can't really point to any difference of significance. This range (creme surfine) also offer more colour options so I tend to primarily buy this but I use both products.
