See photo, Ford 4.6L starter for reference. It's exactly 2 inches in diameter. It's way too big to use in my application as a trunk popper. It'd probably weigh down the trunk lid and take up way too much space in an already-small trunk. Although I didn't measure the current draw, I can imagine it would be a lot. So I can't hook it up directly to my remote control module, either. I would highly recommend using a relay if you are going to power it with any kind of control module. Also it doesn't have a ground connection, so it must be grounded by the bracket that holds it.
