**Q: I’ve connected it all up to my iphone 8 plus with the adaptor but i’m getting no sound whatsoever the connectors are correctly in place help !!!!**

Connect the TRS (The Black end) to the microphone and the TRRS (Grey end) to your phone. 
2. If you use other Apps for recording, please make sure your apps is allowed to use the microphone.

A: Yes, the CVM-VM10-K2 microphonecan be compatable the Xiaomi Mi 9 mobile phone. It requires a USB C-3.5mm adapter.
However, we do not recommend using this microphone on the Xiaomi. The recording effect may not be very satisfactory due to the phone itself.
