Compatible with cat5e, cat6, cat6a, 110 or Krone Type, TC-P24C6AS. I have not trued it though. I have only used CAT5 cable. **Q: can i attach cat7?** A: yes, all cat7, 8, and 9, as well as 6, and 6a, and 5, 5e etc. are mounting protocols for identical hardware. If you use cat5e on cat7 cable etc then is will just dowgade the frequency that it operates and not else. **Q: What is recommended for using the grounding wire?** A: A known grounded source.
