Is the unit not going into one gear(fwd or rev) and once it does it's not shifting back to the opposite? Or are you pushing harder to get it into gear and it may stay then the same for the opposite? If you search RS800 Cleaning on the web you'll find our video for cleaning to resolve the second issue. If it is hard to get it into gear and then it finally does, it may be the Inversion Security (transmission lockout) sticking. The kit has very good instruction sheets with images. You may need a magnifier for some of the images though. My mower is eleven years old so I was very pleased to find that these transmissions are supplied by a company that provides the outstanding customer support and website that they do. I am a professional mechanic on a wide range of applications so this job was no big deal for me but if you are less inclined I suggest that you take a lot of photos under good lighting when you disassemble your transmission. Might save yourself some time and aggravation. Nice to have a quality company to be doing business on Amazon.
