As long as you are willing to pay a little extra to use Dremel filament, it's virtually perfect. The print area is large, it is fully enclosed (nice for noise and to reduce kids messing with it while printing), and it's very easy to use for a beginner like me. When I got adventurous and started buying 3rd party filaments, I had mixed results. Sometimes they would print okay, others the extruder would start clicking and the filament would stop flowing mid-print. Even the third party filament that I received from 3D PrintLife as part of this bundle had mixed results - the PLAyPHAb prints absolutely perfectly every time, but their PLA and ABS have both given me problems, even using the settings recommended by 3D PrintLife support.I am a technical person, but when it comes to 3D printing, I still have a lot to learn. I love that this printer makes it easy to print correctly with the RFIDs on the Dremel filament spools - the printer automatically detects the material type and configures its settings accordingly. Their web based interface is also very nice - the slicer included in the web interface is adequate (not amazing...especially at support material), but it's awesome to be able to kick off prints from my phone or iPad and also to monitor the print status (including via webcam) through the web interface. It also automatically saves time lapse videos of the print!There are many other less expensive options out there. If your budget doesn't allow for this big a purchase and you're willing to invest some effort in figuring out how to create optimal prints, you could have success with those other options. If you can afford spending a little extra on the printer (and a little extra on filament), this is a fantastic option for beginners and beyond. Print quality is excellent, beyond my expectations.The only minor complain that I have is related to shipping, which is a bit confusing to begin with. The order is shipped in two parts from two different Co. The supplies containing extra PLA rolls come very quickly in single box, but the actual printer comes later. Once the PLAs are delivered, Amazon shows that the order is complete without actually shipping the most expensive part of the order. There is no way one can track the status of the printer order after the initial delivery of only the supplies. There are no documents/evidence stating that the printer will be shipped later, separately. However, when I emailed the customer service, they were very helpful in explaining me all the details. If the seller can simply state clearly that the package will arrive in two phases, such confusions won't arise.
