For those, I had to go through the process twice. While they didn’t come out looking brand new, the yellowing faded significantly—they now look great and are totally wearable again. I accidentally washed a yellow post-it note in my shirt pocket, and it bled yellow everywhere into a white shirt. Regular stain removers did nothing. I used the stove-top method, and it worked like a charm. The yellow is completely gone. Unfortunately, it also kind of changed the colors of the blue striping on my shirt, turning some of the blue into a dark purple. I strongly recommend that this product only be used on clothing which has as little other color as possible other than the dye stain, as it clearly has very unpredictable effects on other existing dyes. That said, since my shirt was almost a lost cause, I figured I had nothing to lose by giving it a shot. I give this product five stars for saving my shirt, but with the caveat that it can change or remove other colors as well. I would never use this on a short which was not predominantly white to begin with. It does exactly what it says, which is remove colors. I think your chance of success is small, very small. I tried this on so many things and mostly I just ruined my clothes. I won't use it again. Its success all depends on unknowns like what kind of fabric is it and what did the original manufacturer use to put the color in it. I never got just a lighter color unless it was an all cotton, natural dye. Otherwise the color would not be stable and many times it would change to a dull, lifeless and ugly different color. See my directions though! *by P***N on February 17, 2019* Like others on here I bought one pack and didn’t have any luck with clothes that had been dyed pink and dried in the dryer. I found three packs at a local craft chain for what I paid for one pack on here and gave it another shot. This time I agitated the clothes for over 20 minutes with no luck so decided to leave them in the water to soak for a couple hours and I came back to find them perfect. No pink at all!
