While his rental came with a hard- sided case, he walks to and from school frequently. This is lighter than the hard case, abd the straps allow him a couple of carrying options. He's been putting the sax on his back and slinging his backpack on his front side.The case seems to protect the instrument well. The only complaint (which isn't really a complaint because I'm not sure how they could add this) is that he can't put his music folder in the case. It looks classy and stylish. It is very lightweight and has a few different options for carrying. The bag can stand on its own, or lean on support, with an instrument inside. It is padded but I would still be very careful with it if you have an expensive (or inexpensive) sax inside. This bag is very functional and you don't have to stuff your sax in it as there is plenty of room in the main pocket.Not So Good: This bag is marketed as being good for student saxophone players of all ages. I would not necessarily recommend this for children because it won't offer the protection a hard case would. You should be able to fit reeds, mouthpieces, neckstraps, pencils, etc.. in the accessory pocket. I don't see how you can fit sheet music on this bag unless you fold it up. I don't see why any player would deface their music to do that. Nevertheless, it is an option.The bag comes with a leather strap. How do you even put it on the bag?
