## Overview

This epilepsy alarm system features a full-size, air-filled sensor mat placed discreetly under any mattress to detect tonic-clonic seizures. When activated, it sends alerts via a pager with flashing, vibrating, and beeping signals up to 400 meters away, ensuring caregivers are promptly notified anywhere on the property. ## Description

The convulsion sensor mat is placed underneath the bed mattress and will detect an epileptic seizure (the type that causes the entire body to shake).
The bleeper pager can be carried by a carer around the house (even in a different room or in the garden) and will bleep, flash and vibrate when the convulsion sensor mat is activated.
The bed pressure mat is placed underneath the bed mattress and connected to a small control box.
The sensitivity can be adjusted using a small dial to make the unit more or less sensitive.
The control box is powered by two household AA batteries which will last for up to one year.
The bed pressure mat is waterproof and contains only air, so there's nothing inside it that can go wrong.
The control box is made of impact resistant plastic and supplied with a protective rubber case and straps to attach it to the side of the bed.
When the bed pressure mat detects the entire body shaking during an epileptic seizure, it will send a message to the pager.
The pager can be carried by a carer around the house and will even work in the garden (it has a range of up to 400m).
The air pressure mats are highly sensitive and detect the change in air pressure as a person moves during a seizure. By using air pressure the system reduces false alarms and unlike some other products mats can be placed under mattresses for a more discreet and comfortable sensor.

This works brilliantly able to turn a sensitivity up and down which is great because my son haves a thick mattress I can now sleep with ease knowing that the alarm will alert me to any of his seizures definitely worth the money

This is a very clever piece of kit and the added bonus is that it actually works on our existing pager system and identifies itself as “convulsion sensor 1“ on our pagers. (The included pager doesn’t have a display but does beep and flash.)The range is great too covering the entire building into every room (it’s a very big house)You can adjust the sensitivity and test it easily by pressing the button. The 2 AA batteries in the sensor last ages.
