So now there is 2 chefs in Dare Valley. For some reason the book was slow moving for me. I just wasn't all that crazy about the main characters. The main characters were cute but not over the top exciting like wanting to know more about them. However I think I enjoyed the banter between all the friends better. I believe it is the best one yet. Once it grabs hold of you, you just have to ride it out no matter how long it takes. Luckily it reads easily.Elizabeth Saunders was once Vixen, a secret poker scout for Rhett Butler Blaylock. Once Rhett decided to win Abbi’s hand in marriage and decided to stay in Dare Valley, her disguise as a poker babe. She discarded the disguise and became Rhett’s publicist while retaining her job as a poker scout. Her best friend since Harvard, Jane Wilcox, gave up her disguise as Raven and became Rhett’s dog walker and sitter. On the day they announced the existence of Vixen and Raven as poker scouts, she denied knowing Chef Terrance Waters. They had a weeklong fling several years before which left both of them thinking of the other. Elizabeth has some secrets she has to come to grips with before she can move on and even begin to trust a man.Terrance Waters is an irreverent, swearing, but exceptional chef who is on probation by a television company in New York City. If he cleans up his act, gets rid of his attitude, and stops swearing, he can have a cooking show with them. He has two months to prove himself.
