Is it necessary?** A: Hi Dan, I use mine to pump a water and bleach mix. As the water and the bleach is clean, I haven't found it necessary. I think as long as you are not pumping contaminated liquid you should be safe.. **Q: where is the connection for the 12v power?** A: There is a 12 volt round socket at the end of the pump..i had a transformer from another appliance which had a cable with four different sized connections ...you could check with the supplier to see if they provide one..it is the only snag with this unit...it works brilliant..i have it connected to a 12 volt speed controller...love it.... **Q: Can this be connected to copper piping?** A: No, the connection is plastic or flexible tubing. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent little pump. *by N***E on 30 September 2019* For my purposes this little pump is brilliant. It pumped the test water in my Aeroponics project into a 0.75 litre Accumulator tank up to 120 psi with absolutely no effort whatsoever. I have no doubt that it would have reached the rated 130psi and then a whole lot more with no effort as well but I stopped at 120psi because the accumulator is only rated for 125psi. I did however bypass the built-in cut-off micro-switch in order to run it through an adjustable, external, push-fit pressure switch designed for Reverse Osmosis filtration systems ... and ... I made sure to power it from a fully charged 12v 70Ah lead acid battery via a 7.5A fuse to ensure that if required, it could draw the full 6.67A that it is theoretically rated at and might ultimately require to attain maximum pressure and flow-rate. 6 out of 5 stars from me ;) ### ⭐⭐ Loud *by A***N on 10 April 2021* Pumps quite well, but sounds like a lawnmower!
