I'm very happy with mine, and the markings seem accurate. the cutter is great, I've gone as low as 2 ga and it has no issues. That's about all I can tell you. **Q: Can these crimpers crimp 6 AWG insulated terminals?** A: Yes and does a good job of it. It can crimp 1,2,4,6,&8 AWG terminals. I mount one handle in a vise so I can use just one hand to do the crimp and one hand to hold the terminal in place. This gives very decent hex crimps, and it cuts fairly well. The grips are solid, it takes a bit of force to properly do it, and you might want to practice on a lug or two. I don't see any reasons so far to give it less than 5 stars. It's not something made by Snap-on, but you are paying a very small price compared to what they would charge. I didn't even look to see if they had a hand tool like this honestly, but it would be 200+ easily. Obviously, if you do this for a living you have a hydraulic tool of higher quality. BUT this thing is incredibly useful. For anything in that 4-8 gauge range it is nearly perfect. We'll see if it holds up. As another reviewer said, I prefer this to any of the separate die tools that are not hydraulic just for ease of use.
