Most 110V outlets are fused at 15-20A, which can supply a maximum of 1650 to 2200 watts. **Q: I set the thermostat to heat above 50 degrees in a greenhouse. Why is it still heating at 70 degrees?** A: I have mine set to 1 as well for that same purpose. Mine does turn on and off and has never went on once the tempature has reached its setting. I am in NY so its a basement unit and stays around the 40-50 degree range. there may be a probem with the unit. I would reach out to customer service. **Q: is it actually manufactured in Canada?** A: The two we have say the are made in china.
