If you enjoyed microscopes as a child, but endured the frustration of getting focus and light exactly right--this is for you. My grandchildren can hold the device, the LED lights are integral, and the focus adjusting is a one-handed affair. The images pop up in real time on the screen for all to see, and can be saved as robust PNG images (crisper than JPEG but just as easy to move around). We capture dead things, live things, you name it. Photos, videos, time-lapse. Expensive, but a never tiring tool to investigate anything. This was a great departure from the usual electronic gift, and has spawned interest from diamonds to worms! Review: Works brilliantly - Solidly built, and extremely easy to use. I downloaded and installed the software from the dino-lite website on my windows 10 laptop, plugged in the dino-lite and it started displaying images instantly. The focus/magnification control works well. With a slight adjustment of the focus control bright clear images were displayed on the laptop. The 640 x 480 resolution is plenty of pixels. Very happy with this little device. Highly recommended. ## Features - 20x - 50x, 200x True Optical Magnification | 640 x 480 (0.3MP) Image Resolution | 30 FPS Video - USB Connectivity for easy setup and operation. - Easy to use for students, hobbysists, and professionals. - Standard working distance – Provides a balanced field of view for typical inspection and viewing needs. - Software included (Windows + Mac) – DinoCapture and DinoXcope offer powerful tools for capturing, annotating, images&videos on both Windows and Mac. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00B1FDCYO | | Best Sellers Rank | #613 in Camera & Photo Products ( See Top 100 in Camera & Photo Products ) #79 in Lab Handheld Digital Microscopes | | Brand | Dino-Lite | | Color | Taupe | | Compatible Devices | Tablet, Personal Computer, Laptop | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars 127 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Plastic | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 1.26"L x 1.26"W x 4.13"H | | Item Weight | 6.4 ounces | | Light Source Type | LED | | Magnification Maximum | 230 x | | Manufacturer | Dino-Lite | | Manufacturer Part Number | AM3111 | | Material | Plastic | | Model Name | AM3111 | | Model Number | AM3111 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Objective Lens Description | Achromatic | | Power Source | USB | | Product Dimensions | 1.26"L x 1.26"W x 4.13"H | | Real Angle Of View | 45 degrees | | Real Angle of View | 45 degrees | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Voltage | 5 volts | | Warranty Description | 2-Year Manufacturer Warranty | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Dino-Lite - **Color:** Taupe - **Item Weight:** 6.4 ounces - **Light Source Type:** LED - **Magnification Maximum:** 230 x - **Material:** Plastic - **Model Name:** AM3111 - **Product Dimensions:** 1.26"L x 1.26"W x 4.13"H - **Real Angle of View:** 45 degrees - **Voltage:** 5 volts ## Images ![AM3111 USB - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/719GmFmaxiL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Are these made in the USA?** A: No. The Dino Lite Microscopes are made in Taiwan **Q: Can this be connected to a smart phone rather than a PC or Mac?** A: Yes - go to this web page for more information: http://www.dinolite.us/mobile **Q: Do you send to Brazil???** A: Hello Vivianne,Unfortunately, we do not ship these microscopes to Brazil. Thanks, **Q: Will this work with a droid as the step down, 2111 model does?** A: Sorry, I have no idea if it would work with a droid or not. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Be a scientist! *by F***S on August 12, 2012* Dino-Lite Digital Microscope (USB2.0) 10x~200x Magnification I order this product after returning a less expensive one that came with a mini-CD that won't work with Macs, and no opportunity to download driver from Mfg. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Workshop Tool, Too. *by T***Y on November 20, 2013* This is a good additional to my workshop as it allows inspection of parts and work that would otherwise be impossible. When sharpening knives with my Wicked Edge sharpener it allows close examination of the blade's edge while it is still mounted in the jig. This is a convenient, easy to set up and use device. The only thing I would change in my choice would be to have ordered one with a polarizing filter to cut reflection on metal surfaces (knives, watches, etc) in order to "see" more of what I am looking for. I recommend this to anyone needing to have a closer look at ... well, almost anything. ## Frequently Bought Together - Dino-Lite USB Digital Microscope AM3111-0.3MP, 20x - 50x, 200x Optical Magnification, 8 LEDs, Windows/Mac Software Included - Dunwell Tech, Inc MS22B Flex-arm Desktop Stand (Black), ~16 Inch Height - Designed for Dino-Lite AM2111, AM3111, AF3113, WF3113, and Casual Use - Dunwell Tech, Inc MS35B Vertical Stand with Focus Adjustment – 8.07" x 4.92" x 12" - Designed for Dino-Lite --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/1167234-am3111-usb](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/1167234-am3111-usb) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
