I stream audio through the phone to the radio via bluetooth and charge it at the same time. See other answer. The radio must be in certain play modes to charge. I stream directly from my tablet to the radio using Bluetooth nightly and it’s just awesome! **Q: Is this a clock radio?** A: Yes it is a radio with a digital clock on the front so yes it is a clock radio.
