It's a lamp. It makes light for reading.The not so good:1. 5500K is very white light. (Feels about like a fluorescent lamp.) If you want something for your office or den, I suggest something with a lower temperature color.2. The range of motion is only 20-30 degrees to either side. This is likely a design choice for stability. A better choice would have been to put a weight in the base instead.3. It uses a 10V wall-wart, a longish one at that. Until we perfect wireless power transmission, manufacturers should either integrate the transformer, or use a standard voltage and barrel sizes.4. If you are using a wall switch, the lamp does not remember it's previous state. You'll have to turn it on each time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ But it still does fairly good job.
