    Dramatic Suspension Improvement

*by R***E on Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2013*

I used these stabilizers on the front coil springs of my 2006 Hyundai Sonata GLS V6. With nearly 120,000 miles on the car, it was past due for strut replacements. I decided to lower the car at the same time and installed Eibach Pro lowering springs along with Monroe struts. This combination made the ride FAR too bouncy with nearly no damping from the front springs. This caused the suspension to bottom out over even the smallest imperfections in road surface. These stabilizers have improved damping by probably 150%, and the car now feels better than it did from the factory (which was also too compliant). The suspension still bottoms out on major bumps, but this is to be expected since the car is lowered. These parts are made from some type of hard urethane type material, so I was a little worried about them being brittle. They've been on the car for about two months now and they are much more durable than they first appear. The installation instructions included in the kit are a little difficult to understand. They reference installation tools that no one in my area has heard of and the diagrams are vague when describing the front and rear of the vehicle. I installed the stabilizers on the outside of my front springs toward the front of the vehicle offset ±45° from F-R centerline. Note that the stabilizers won't fit inside the spring with the coil-over style strut setup unless the springs are OFF the vehicle. I used a twist-in style metal spring spacer ($10 for 4 at your local auto parts store) to spread the coils apart, then snapped the stabilizers in place and removed the metal spacers. I skipped the bottom coil since I didn't want to completely negate the effects of the lowering springs. The ride height was increased by about 1/4", which still equates to a 3/4" drop from factory.A few notes about installation:1. You will need some way to SAFELY spread the coils apart for installation (a spring compressor used in reverse will not work unless the spring is removed from the vehicle)2. Install the stabilizers on the FRONT edges of the springs (applies to both front and rear springs)3. Install TWO stabilizers per spring (no more, no less)4. From front-rear centerline, rotate 45° INWARD to install the LOWER stabilizer5. Skip the BOTTOM coil if you don't want to substantially increase ride height6. Skip ONE coil between stabilizers7. From front-rear centerline, rotate 45° OUTWARD to install the UPPER stabilizer (note the stabilizers will be 90° apart)8. Total installation per spring is about 15-20 minutes (after spending 1-2 hours figuring out the first one ;-) )Bottom line, I had nearly given up on this car as there are too few aftermarket suspension options available and the ride was completely intolerable. I am now able to drive the car again without getting seasick from all the bouncing. These stabilizers are a great and economical way to improve the ride on a daily driver if you don't want to spend thousands on a custom suspension setup.

*by C***B on Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2017*

seems like a good purchase but be sure to measure spacing between coils on your vehicle before purchasing this. I ended up using them on another vehicle than intended as the spacing on the intended vehicle was already greater than what these are designs for so installing them will actually lower my vehicle by pulling the coils closer together.
