Mine is black so dirty and palm prints doesn't show up that easily but I did try and use a damp cloth and wipe it down and it doesn't stain or ruin the cover. I don't know why I ever decided not to use a scroll wheel, I love it. I don't need to move my wrist or full my finger, I can easily scroll up and down the webpage while my palm rest on the mouse.
