Buddy Lewek has spent most of his life dreaming of escaping the slums of 1939 New York City. Counting pennies to survive, it doesn't seem likely that Buddy's dreams of becoming an artist will ever be realized, but that all changes when he meets Mr Joey Drew, the eccentric owner of an animation studio. Mr D takes Buddy under his wing as an apprentice, and Buddy couldn't be happier - maybe, as Mr D says, dreams do come true. But not everything at the studio is as picture-perfect as it seems. Something is going bump at night in the studio, something that leaves behind trails of thick, dark ink. Buddy is determined to find out just what is tormenting the studio after-hours, even if it means tracking the trail to Mr D himself. Don't miss this official pulse-pounding story from award-winning author Adrienne Kress, developed with theMeatly, Mike Mood and Bookpast! Review: Definitely recommend this book!!! - As soon as it arrived I was overflowing with excitement. I read the book and it was probably the best thing I had ever read! It has filled in and answered all the questions I had about the original game ,Bendy and the Ink Machine, and has given me a lot more lore on the game and has given me a lot more stuff to theorise about and it has really got me hyped for the 2nd book coming out July 7th and the new game Bendy and the Dark Revival. I really loved the book and can't stop reading it. I think the author did an amazing job of really capturing all the horror of the game. I definitely recommend buying this product. Review: Great book for any BaTIM fan - I would definitely recommend this book for any BaTIM fan, It shows more about the studio before its hellish appearance in the games and shows us more about what each character was like before they changed. It touchs on social topics such as the racism and sexism of 1940s New York and shows how that impacted each character. It also has its own assortment of lore for anyone intreasted in that (theorists) and shows us how the soul becomes with the ink in breif detail. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | 89,674 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) 24 in Film Performance for Young Adults 37 in Fiction About Film for Young Adults 44 in Computer & Video Games for Young Adults | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 2,959 Reviews | ## Images ![Dreams Come to Life (Bendy and the Ink Machine, book 1) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61n1yI+0AxL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Definitely recommend this book!!! *by C***R on 11 February 2020* As soon as it arrived I was overflowing with excitement. It expands the world of the game, leaving previously unanswered questions answered and it show how the studio turns from a normal everyday animation studio into a dark veil to hide what sinister plan Joey Drew was concocting. This novel is also perfect for those who don't know what BATIM is, and it will certainly grab the attention of anyone who opens the pages.
