We have a very small apartment, so range is no issue - we easily get 40' distance with no synch issues. That's through several walls, a kitchen with old electronically noisy appliances and an apartment filled with electronic devices operating in all frequencies. Excellent. Finally, the sound is absolutely beautiful, within the limitations of the unit itself. This is, after all a SoundDock I original that was designed and manufactured quite a few years ago. I have used it with my Kindle Fire to listen to both desertcart Prime Music and Pandora with no problems. I plugged my SoundDock into an outdoor power strip with an on/off button as suggested by one of the reviews. That way, it is easy to turn off. The only small issue I found is sometimes if I use my Kindle to surf the web, the Bluetooth connection drops, but it is easily reconnected.
