FM-25 is the model number of the mounted filter housing and FM-25R is the model number of the replacement filter cartridge. R=Replacement.On a side note, you can also use the FM-15RA cartridge if you don't mind the slightest bit of white on the bottom. You don't see it unless your eye level is below the filter. The cartridges are exactly the same, except for the small section of chrome coloring on the FM-25R. **Q: Has anyone figured out an easier way to change filters? It takes forever.
