I put him in a harness with two attachments and use both clips to make sure he stays in place. If you don’t have a sissy bar its very hard to get it secured so I would recommend getting one. I also found the bottom to not be 100% sturdy so I went and got a piece of wood to put under all the mats. My passenger seat is very slim but if you have a wider one you should be fine. Overall great product and would buy it again in a heartbeat.
