You will need a sled. The dw616 is only 1&3/4 HP so slow the bit down and go slow on each pass. I used a 1 & 3/4 Hp router and a homemade sled and it did fine on a 28 by 72 inch slab. It help to sharpen the bit half way through. **Q: What is the Flute length?** A: Just over 1.25” **Q: how well can this machine aluminum?** A: I've only used it on wood **Q: Can i use this in regular router with sled for table top or is it just for cnc machine ?** A: Yes, I have it in my old 6.5 A router and it works great.
