If anyone is sleeping in your house you cannot use the fireplace, it will wake them up. If you live in an apartment it will almost certainly annoy your neighbors. Not sure why they did this.2) They’ve programmed the light to go through cycles of dim and bright every 5 seconds or so. I’ve never seen an actual fire do this, and it makes it look much less realistic, almost tacky. There’s no advantage of this. It’s the one aspect that lets you immediately tell that it’s not a real fire.
