Review: Great sounding pickup - I have played my violin one session since installing this pickup. Ran instrument cord into a pre-amp pedal ( Boss AD-2) and through my church sound system. It sounds fantastic. * I did have to increase the opening size of the horizontal gap next to the bridge eye. I actually prefer having to modify as it provides for a custom fit. * Make sure the instrument cord is pushed in all the way! The jack is very tight at first, but relaxes a bit after inserting cord a few times.

Doesn't sound "tinny" like some cheaper electric violins sound. I think it does a great job preserving the rich acoustic sound and with minimal if any popping or feedback issues. It doesn't add too much weight, either. Great buy!!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can the sensor and other components be safely removed when not in use?**
A: Yes you simply reverse the process of putting it on. That said when removing the pickup portion from the bridge do not pull by the wire.

     Thank you for the inquiry. To answer your question this pickup will amplify all audible frequencies. You might want to also look into our AP series pickups. Those might work a little better and you won't have to alter the pickup.

**Q: Can it work with phantom power at all?**
A: This is a passive piezo pickup and neither requires nor suports phantom power, as it's not a balanced output.   You COULD choose to pass it through a preamp which runs on your choice of an A/C adapter,  or batteries,  or phantom power.
