They have fallen over in the wind several times, and I just pull it by the stake (I put bricks down to prevent that). Some of them are slight deformed, but none of it effects how they work ... very well. I bought 5 large size wire cages. And they are great except when the plant is younger. I tried using a step up process with smaller cages. The problem being, the plants grow fast and if you don't do it right away when it needs it, it's difficult to remove the cage without damaging the plant. Since this system can disassemble down to sticks, they can just pull right out. You can make a bigger one around the smaller one, and then just disassemble the smaller one on the inside. I have a system that uses Ram-Pro Loop Grip Clips to keep the stalks attached to a pole or bracket for support. I also use Gloryfox Tomato Plant hooks for support. The system works great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not strong or big enough for my tomatoes *by E***. on July 4, 2026* Nice supports, but not anywhere near strong or big enough for indeterminate (vining) tomatoes, which is most of what I grow. In fact, by the end of the season, my Romas outgrew them--pulled them right over. But Brandywines? Cherokees? Beefsteaks? Big Cherry tomatoes? No way. They were out of this cage in no time. Great for peppers or patio tomatoes.
