## Description

STABILO CarbOthello is a chalk pastel coloring pencil available in 60 colors. With its wonderfully dry and dusty stroke it is just like a chalk pastel in pencil format. It's very popular with artists, art students and people with creative hobbies. Its high pigmentation guarantees great luminosity and opacity as well as color fastness and color brilliance especially on dark backgrounds and delicate papers. What's more it can be sharpened to a very fine tip which make it ideal for detail. colors can be dry mixed and blended which makes coloring more fun and special. Safety Warning Please note: Not suitable for children under 36 months due to small parts.

Review: Creamy - So smooth and creamy. Easy to blend with my pastels. Beautiful colors. Doesn’t break easily like other pencils.
Review: Nice pastel pencils. - Very nice set of pastel chalk pencils. These are great for sketching or general pastel work. The colors are fairly rich and look great on gray or tan papers. These pencils do have a nice thick core. They blend great with your finger, pastel blender or q tip. They erase easily with a chalk eraser. These do work well with water but colors aren't as brilliant but still beautiful. These are on par with Derwent pastels, in fact some of the colors are considerably brighter if not using water. The only major downside is that I wish there were more colors. Great set for beginner and student artists, even professional artists. Also good for using in adult coloring books for background work. I definitely recommend these not only for price but for quality.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Can be sharpened with a pencil sharpener without crumpling pastel.
*by D***. on July 24, 2026*

All my sketches have been done in graphite but I wanted to try color. So, I ordered these after watching a video of a professional artist using them. I also saw people having to use a blade to sharpen their pastel pencils…NO WAY am I doing that. This brand , no problem.
