It has made my use of the iPad 2 so much easier! The design is clever and I can now position my iPad so it stands at nearly any desired angle. It can also be wrapped around one of my legs if I want to read in bed...or I can even get it to grip the tops of headboards or edges of countertops or tables.But I do have to make what I consider relatively minor trade-offs for the conveniences afforded by the Yogi - and I also want to note that what I consider "minor" may not be so minor to you. Also,this may well work with the first generation iPad just fine. I wouldn't know about that..But for iPad 2 owners:It is impossible for my headphones,or any others I tried, to fit into the Yogi's slot which is supposedly designed to allow access to the iPad's actual head phone slot. I also could not get the sleep and wake button to work while the iPad 2 is in the Yogi.Neither of these flaws matter all that much to me. I don't generally use my iPad while I am near anyone who would be disturbed when I listen to music and I have an iPad cover that automatically puts my iPad to sleep when the cover is in place. So...overall...the Yogi is a plus for my lifestyle. It is not sleek, professional or streamlined. It does not have space for a pen, or a notepad. It looks kind of practical.But if you want a case that does almost everything else, consider this one. I have purchased 5 cases for my original iPad. This is by far the most multi talented.The legs are easily adjustable to any surface. They are well positioned to be stable, and can be removed in an instant and flattened to stow in a bag. They can also bend to hang off anything - so if you travel you can prop it on the tray table, or hang it from the headrest in a plane or a car. In a hotel room you can hang it on the end of the bed for the kids, or wrap it around the treadmill armrests while exercising. I also use it in the kitchen to hold my iPad out of the way, then I can watch hulu while cooking!As others have mentioned, the one thing you don't have with this case is a front cover. I haven't really missed it - I just put the screen facing toward the soft part of my bag, but it might be concern if you worry about scratches.I now have an iPad3, and I am sad Jobi are not planning a new case, although I think the iPad2 case might actually fit the iPad3.
