I decided to try the large version from Glamfort (just because I thought their logo was prettier, honestly) and it fits my needs better. My makeup collection isn't huge but I wanted room for extras. This case is the right size that I don't have to do any digging and it definitely feels sturdy enough for travel.The material isn't a smooth faux leather but kind of textural, which I like. The first time I zipped it, it stuck a little around one corner but that hasn't repeated (almost two years in!) and the construction seems sound.I would like it even more if the case were 0.5-1" deeper because 4" products push up ever so slightly on the lid once the vertical space taken up by the brushes is taken into account, and 5" products don't stand a chance. But, a deeper case would also be bulkier, so I get it.I store with the case laying flat (lid up, the same direction it's situated when it's open), but I have picked it up by the handle and everything stays pretty much where it's placed even when it's not stuffed tight. Things shift around a little inside the individual compartments, but nothing jumps from one slot to the next.Overall this is a great case and I'm very happy with my purchase.ETA this bag has held up great over the last year and a half, so I bought another. I use one for complexion and nail stuff, and the other for eye and lip stuff (if you divide the sections right, it's big enough for larger shadow palettes, laid flat; I have two of the 30-pan ColourPop underneath the smaller ones in the pic).
