**Q: Does AT&T detect it as a smartphone?**
A: The phone company detects things like if it's 2g, 3g, 4g etc N8 is a 3g phone. Phone companies don't pay attention to the software on your phone - as to whether it's a smart phone or not.However this is a smart phone. It's just not using the 2 popular (software) operation systems which are Windows and Android.

**Q: I currently have a t-mobile pay as you go sim. so it's just voice and text no data, will this phone work for me?**
A: Yes

**Q: Where is this phone made?**
A: I am not sure, but now 2 months after purchase I just had to buy me a new phone. It is not working right all I have on the phone is my pictures & contacts yet it is saying the memory is full I went through deleting everything because a text message came in and the phone said the memory is to low to open it. Even after deleting as much as I could that message is still on the phone. I brough this phone for the amazing picture reviews now I feel as though I spent $239 for just a camera because the phone has been nothing but trouble, I removed  my sim and went back to my old phone until my new phone arrives. I regret this purchase......
