Pretty cool, but a funny looking percussion piece.

Great tool in the hand percussion bag
A very cool addition to the hand percussion aresenal. Easy to grip, great for dragging along the cajon face. Only thing you lose is the more staccato snap you get when using standard brushes (especially wire brushes) so I definitely use this for a different sound, not as a replacement.

Not impressed
Regular stick brushes are far easier and versatile compared to this. It does have a pleasing sound but can never replace stick brushes in my opinion. It works well for generating snappy short burst brush sounds. Probably a nice piece to have for percissionists who seek marginal and novel sounds.

Nicely made, for bright sound is good...wish they were a little beefier and cheaper
Use with my cajon, which is amplified with a boundary condenser Mic...brushes have a crisp sound, well made...a little pricey tho...I wanted something less boomy than my Vader monster brushes and my broomsticks...these could be a little beefier...high tones okay

Has a decent bass sound but i think its a lil overpriced. $10-15 would be more reasonable

I really like the range of tones they produce on middle
I'm using these to play my cajon, I really like the range of tones they produce on middle, top, edge etc. Not being a drummer so I hope this makes sense, using these brushes you can 'feel' the cajon like if you were playing using hands. The tech spec says they are not adjustable brushes which I think means you can't make them 'fan out' more but there is a rubber band that rolls from the top (gives a harder sound) to next to the handle (gives a softer sound). The handles (sorry) are coated in a soft rubbery material which I like as they don't slip in your hand. They sound exactly like I expected having watched demo clips. I think these sound good, are robust, nicely balanced, and very well made as all Schlagwerk products I have bought so far and therefore 5 stars.

Excellent quality brush. Makes a nice sound on the Cajon when you use it. Works best if your Cajon faceplate has a textured surface.

Swishy
The BRC-04 brushes are very good emulating the swishy legato brush sounds normally performed on the snare. I'm enjoying exploring this new sound on my cajon.
