Also it is light weight yet cooks well and evenly. The only thing we don't like about the pot is the handles are metal so they are quite hot when cooking. A potential problem is with its light aluminum construction, we question it's durability. However, we've used it about a month and as of yet its holding up fine. Time will tell.Also the glass lid is beautifully engineered with a small vent hole to prevent steam and liquid from spewing out and dripping down the side of the pan.
