Will this work in cold & dry locations?** A: We have had no issues using these in equipment that is outside with minimal to no heating. **Q: Does this require a POE switch to operate correctly?** A: You can use a POE injector if your switch doesn’t support POE. **Q: Does this extender have to go in the middle of the run?** A: No. It can be placed at any point in the run, as long as its location is in the specified working environment. The illustration shows the extender in the middle solely for the order in which it is connected. **Q: Can I put this right by the network switch and extend the signal past 350 ft?** A: I’ve only ever used this at the end of a run that I was having issues with. If you have a good quality switch you should be able to get to 300ft. Then you would add one of these and get another 300+ feet. Hope this helps. ## Frequently Bought Together - Veracity Outreach Lite Ethernet Extender - UGREEN RJ45 Connector, 50 Pack Cat5e/Cat5 Ethernet Modular RJ45 Plugs, Gold Plated Crimp LAN Network End Plugs for Ethernet Cable - 7 in 1 Network Cable Tester,Wire Tracker RJ45 RJ11 LAN Cable Toner Telephone Line Finder Cat5 Cat6 Ethernet Cable Tracer Kit Sensitivity-Adjust Continuity-Check for Cable Collation-No Battery --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/10805806-veracity-usa-outreach-lite-poe-powered-lan-extender-100m-ext](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/10805806-veracity-usa-outreach-lite-poe-powered-lan-extender-100m-ext) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
