The product looks like a marble finish but it is a leather like material which absorbs water.Absorption:The coasters seem to have been made with homeowners in mind. They easily absorb moisture and protect the wood. The coasters do not allow water to pool in them because they easily absorb the liquid!Durability:I have people at my house constantly, and they have withstood, spilled drinks, water and multiple drinks being set upon them.
