Although I see by the photos in the reviews that this item comes in other color tones and some people complained about them, I can't imagine why because I am very happy with the colors, and the material. It is burgundy, and not all seem to be the same as some have also a grey tone in the background, and some have a grayish blue green in the background, but they are essentially the same, and I like it.Its a fairly thin cotton, but its sturdy and strong enough for regular, relatively gentle use, and washes just fine in cold water, gentle setting, and it can go in the dryer, but it should be removed promptly. The ends tend to curl up after going through the dryer, but they can be ironed down, or just accepted as it is, as one prefers. They can be washed often to keep them fresh, gently, and the item is pleasant to live with. It doesn't fade, or fray, or cause any trouble with use. I have no complaints. Yes, there is a fresh ink smell that lingers for about a day after opening (I just aired it out before putting it in my room, left my window open, and sprayed some febreeze on it and it was fine) but it's honestly not that terrible and it goes away. If you look at it closely you can also see some bleeding out of the black lines but it's not noticeable from far and I really don't expect perfection from a $10 tapestry. I have no complaints!
