Contrary to some reviews, I was able to do it without specialty tools. I used the bolt and nuts trick. You may want to have some extra M5 bolts because they can get stripped if you over tighten. I should have tried this ages ago. My only stumbling block was finding the right size drill bit. I didn't have metric sizes, but I was able to make it work by drilling slightly smaller and reaming a bit. I don't recommend that if you can avoid it, but it worked. ### ⭐⭐ 8-32 rivnuts were too large in diameter - Returned *by E***. on Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2019* The 8-32 rivnuts were 0.2595 inches in diameter (actually larger in diameter than the 10-24 rivnuts). They should be ~0.2295 inches in diameter. It looks like the supplier didn't have any or enough 8-32 blanks on hand, and they simply tapped 8-32 threads in a 10-24 rivnut blank. This makes them much too thick in the area around the threads and very difficult to install. The other sizes were correct and should work as expected. I returned the item. ### ⭐⭐ These did not work well for me *by J***R on Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2019* I didn't have great success with these rivnuts. About 1 in 5 of them had had bad threads after installation. Causing the screw to jam and the rivnut to spin. This is a huge pain to remove. I needed to cut the screw off and drill out the rivnut and replace with a larger size. Tons of rework; no thanks!
