## Description

Make sure stubborn pets cannot access food from the back of the Microchip Pet Feeder while the lid is open.

Review: Worth it! - Love this for my cats. I use it with microchip and another one with the collar (aka no microchip in my cat). Both work amazing. I’ve even had one for 3 years now! I also got the back case to keep cats from stealing food. Of course there’s times where my cats can steal food but it at least helps lower the rates significantly.
Review: Secure feeder - We have a cat on prescription food that’s expensive and of course our other cats love it. Bought this feeder so that only the intended cat can access that food. Works great; food door is activated from the transmitter on her collar. The food bowls are on a scale so you know how much food has been consumed and can track it on the app. I get alerts on my phone telling me how much she’s eaten. I have it set up for wet and dry food and it tells how much of each she eat. Would buy again. It’s a bit pricy, but worth for the price of her food.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: So basically you wanted to charge people more instead of providing this item with the other item?**
A: Most people don't need this part. You'd rather they charge everyone more to add a part that only a few would use instead of letting just those few people get the extra part?

**Q: considering the bowl has a fatal flaw with the rear of the unit open, why isn't this automatically included?**
A: It's not a fatal flaw. One of my cats is very aggressive and he never tries to get into my other cat's feeder when she's eating. I did buy the bowl cover initially but returned it because my cat (the non-aggressive one) wouldn't use the feeder with it attached. My theory is that it amplifies the opening and closing sounds when it's on. Anyway, I have a feeder for each cat and they're great!

**Q: Is there a similar product for the front of the feeder? My sneaky black cat swipes kibble when it's open**
A: Tailgating can be a problem with greedy cats. There is an adjustable delay time for closing the lid, using a slide switch on the bottom of the feeder. Try a shorter delay. I don’t know of any sidewall accessories to block frontside pushy cats.

**Q: Can Feeder Connect also use this rear cover?**
A: Yes.
