Before you buy, make sure you are aware that this a 3-prong wall mount, that you can only plug this in on the bottom, the top plug on your outlet will get covered up. There’s a screw and a pointy plastic on the back of this wall mount. You’d have to loosen the screw so it would not stick out anymore. This way, it would not interfere with plugging this in on the wall.I bought one of these 10 years ago and it still works. I bought a second one last week to put in another room in the house. I use them to plug in my 17” Acer Predator laptop, iPhone 11, 5th generation iPad, and INUI portable battery chargers. 540 joules surge protection, 3 outlets, and 2 USB A at 12-watt each, - enough for what I need. I love the cradle/ledge - it holds my cell phone or battery chargers, and even my tablet! Light comes on once you plug in this wall mount so you know there is power and surge protection is working.The USB A ports charges quick enough for me. If I need to charge faster, I plug in my USB C power block to use for charging. I have 2 power blocks plugged in and my laptop cable fits on the 3rd outlet. For what I have and what I use this for, I can use all 3 outlets and 2 USB As with no issues.

Bought the 4-pack & liked them enough to buy 2 more for the house. Securely fastens with a center screw into the electric outlet. Just note that the unit will shimmy a little when plugging/unplugging in the side outlets, if you plan to do that often, because of the length over the sides, but it stays put. I prefer to leave the center open for portable appliances, like the vacuum cleaner, where needed and use the side outlets for stuff that sits for a long time, like printers & air filters. I like having the option to charge phones/tablets all around the house now, with a little shelf provided by the surge protector. Plus it's Belkin, a brand I trust. Actually had a Belkin unit save an expensive appliance from a power surge we think was caused by a lightning strike several years ago.

This outlet cradle is great. The traditional outlets offer 540 joules of surge protection for powering non-USB items. Also, this item increases the number of outlets from 2 to 3. It also has 2 USB ports that offer 12 Watts / 2.4 Amps of power for each port. I've used it to charge my phone, tablet, smart watch, mouse, and GoPro. There is a green light on the item that indicates that it is working and that your devices are protected. It works great and it works quickly. The cradle area on the top is very nice for resting the device that you are charging, with the phone seemingly having the best fit.This item will take up both outlets when used - the bottom will be where this plugs into and the top will be occupied by a plastic prong that stabilizes the item and also likely designed to prevent overloading the outlet. The item also has a screw that you can use to affix the item to the outlet for more stability and sturdiness. I use the screw when I'm at home but if I travel with it, I regularly do not use the screw and the item stays in place. So it's a nice luxury to have but it's not a necessity.Unlike the other options, there is only one way to install this product and it does not swivel. It sticks out from the existing outlet and all the outlets are on the front of the item. However, unless you have limited space in front of the outlet, this shouldn't be a huge problem. I've never had to use it for any Belkin products but Belkin has a pretty nice warranty program for their products. They stand behind what they produce and will rectify any situation that may arise.In summary, a nice wall mount outlet surge protector that allows you to power or charge 5 different items at the same time. Between the quality and the price, this is a great value.

Great product in general, although a little bulky. I have an Anker 6-port USB strip on my counter for charging all our devices, but have an Echo Dot and Bluetooth speaker plugged into the USB slots on this. It's a great combo for me because the devices that will never be unplugged can just stay plugged into the USB ports on this. And everything charges fine.Now the very blatant downside: this is designed to fit into, and ONLY into, a conventional, vertical dual power outlet. The plug goes into the bottom outlet, a screw goes through the existing faceplate, and a plastic piece fits into the top power outlet. I suppose you could break off the plastic piece but it doesn't matter, the device still covers the top outlet. Losing access to the top outlet is a minor annoyance for me (after all, this turns 2 into 3), but I have a few unusual outlets in my house that I know this could never fit in. Had I intended to use this in one of those outlets, I would have been really disappointed.For the same reason, this would make a terrible travel charger. Fortunately, it isn't marketed as one. I have the excellent Belkin 3 port charger with the swivel plug and have put it through its paces enough to know it could never be replaced by this. So if you are looking for a travel charger - this is not the product for you.
