## Description

This Dixon H3 series quick release coupling is made of zinc-plated ductile iron and connects two male NPT threaded connections in a straight run. It has two female National Pipe Taper (NPT) threaded ends to create a tighter seal on a hose than straight threads. It also has a steel locking pin through the handle to prevent accidental opening. This fitting is made of zinc-plated ductile iron for greater flexibility and elasticity and resistance to corrosion than unplated cast iron, and the EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) gasket is for resistance to weathering, ozone, UV light, electricity, oils, water, steam and some solvents. It has a maximum working pressure of 300 pounds per square inch (psi) at 70 degrees F. This quick release coupling is used for applications where limited pipe movement or misalignment is possible and quick disconnection and/or reconnection is needed.Hose fittings connect, control, change the direction of, and terminate the flow in piping and hose systems. They are made of brass, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and other materials that resist corrosion, pressure, and wear.
