Case design is attractive and practical.Also, if you are crafty (and very careful) you can add a place to hang your lanyard which will not interfere with the case function/protection or damage your phone. At the bottom are of the case there are 2 separate holes for the USB port and microphone. On the bottom part of the hard case (goes on the back of the phone) I took my Dremel and made a small notch across the inside of the piece between the gap for the USB port and microphone. I threaded the lanyard loop through the holes at the bottom of the silicon and then around itself (to latch it on) but before pulling it tight I slipped the bottom of the hard case into the lanyard loop, letting the strings sit in the small groove. I then inserted my phone, snapped the top piece on, pulled the silicon securely around it and pulled the lanyard taught. Since the strings sit in a groove they do not place pressure on the phone and are not prone to slipping between the 2 pieces of the hard card case (and potentially ripping out through the silicon).I will furnish pictures if requested. ;o)Update (03/01/14)I recently found a small snap on case that I love (because it is purple and covered in fleur-di-lis) and found I could still use the black silicon cover over my new case! It slips over securely and all the buttons function! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent, rugged case *by M***H on Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2013* I purchased this case after dropping my phone several times while it was in the expensive case I bought at my provider's store. The first time I dropped my phone in the old case, it split into two pieces and the corners cracked off and broke. When I found this case on Amazon, I couldn't believe the price and so was skeptical. It seems too good to be true, but it isn't! The case is in two layers - a hard plastic layer on the inside with a rugged, rubbery covering on the outside. One of my favorite features is that the front of the case extends beyond the face of the phone, offering great protection to the screen. Also very important to me was the ability to continue to take high-quality pictures. The case does not affect the camera at all - something that I read consistently in reviews for similar cases. Although I didn't think I cared about the kickstand, I think's it's really cool and handy to have if I want to watch a video. As stated in other reviews, this case does add a significant amount of bulk to the phone, but I think this is a plus. The phone is protected all around, so the extra thickness is worth it. This case also comes in a variety of accent colors if purple isn't your thing.
