These aren't quite dreads but more of twisted hair sealed at the ends. If you wanted to make dreadfalls or something then they're probably fine as is. But if you want to do a long term install then they will require a bit of work.Now despite that I will still rate them 4 stars and here's why. I've watched Doctored Locks videos (she even says in her unboxing video it's twisted hair and needs to be resealed for long term use) and read all the reviews I realized going in I'd have to seal them myself so I was fine with that. And so far I've been working on back combing and sealing the ones I've bought and they're turning our beautifully. The already premade cut twists have cut the time in half of the work I would've done had I just straight up bought kanekelon hair and did it from scratch. The synthetic shine goes away after being back combed and sealed as well.If you don't want to do any of the work besides the install I'd suggest going on Etsy and paying to get handmade sets but those especially full sets of synthetic dreads can cost well over a few hundred dollars. So it depends on you really if you want them cheap but without the work, or already made but expensive.But personally I'd rather seal them myself and pay less for them, and for that reason I absolutely love these. The colors are dead on and I bought 7 packs (6black, 1neon violet) and there's definitely enough for my full head. I will definitely be purchasing again! ### ⭐ avoid! *by K***. on Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2017* these are incredibly thin. i saw other reviews saying that but i like thin dreads. these are not worth it. i bought 3packs aka 60 dreads and theres no way these will look good. absloutly does not look like it will be a nice full head of dreads.also i tried installing a couple just to try and get a feel for them and theyre a nice length but if you have long/longish hair it will not look good. half your head will just be straight braids.they sent me a single swedish fish attached to a card asking for a 5 star review. LOL no these are awful. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not actually dreadlocks *by K***N on Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2015* While these were in the shape of dreadlocks, they weren't actually dreaded; except for the very ends, they were just twisted, so within a few days they had started to untwist and tangle. The colors were pretty, though, and people seemed to like them (I spent a lot of time untangling them to keep them looking nice).
