F-4F Phantom. Revell Germany Easy Kit. The McDonnell Douglas two-seat, twin-engine, all-weather, supersonic fighter-bomber, German export variant based on the USAF F-4E. Snap assembly kit featuring fully painted exterior, engraved surface detail, simplified retractable landing gear, missiles and drop tanks, basic cockpit insert (with molded-in aircrew) and one-piece canopy with pre-painted frame. Finish represents Luftwaffe '38+49' of JG71 'Richthofen' in 50 year Phantom II /35 year F-4F anniversary scheme. From the Manufacturer Jagdgeschwader 71 remains the Luftwaffe's only fighter wing to fly the F-4F Phantom. Nicknamed "Richthofen" (after Manfred von Richthofen, WWI's famous "Red Baron"), JG 71 has been flying Phantoms since 1974. As a member of NATO's Immediate Reaction Force, JG 71 can deploy twelve Phantom IIs in just a few days' notice. Tamiya has an 1:100 F-4 kit too. Tamiya's one is much more acculate, but needs more modelling skills including spray painting, water-slide marking, and, of course, gluing.If you are not satisfied with this one, try a Tamiya!
